Job description

• Consult and select calls for tenders for projects in their purchasing segment(s).

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities

• Negotiate, establish and administer contracts with suppliers within their scope.

• Manage potential supplier relationship crises (quality, commercial) by mobilizing relevant stakeholders.

• Guarantee the relationship between their company and/or the group (technical supply chain, quality) and suppliers within their scope.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all activities.

• Identify a reliable and cost-efficient panel of suppliers relevant to the segment and support in defining a Target Purchasing Policy or Purchasing Strategy in the relevant segment(s)

• Manage relationships with strategic suppliers at the company or group level.

Candidate skills & requirements

• Engineering Graduate with 5 to 10 years of indirect purchasing experience.

• Specialized knowledge (Contracting, Negotiation skills, Microsoft Office).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP MM and PP modules

• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

• Very high levels of integrity.

• Demonstrated experience across a variety of commodities, supplier panel types (monopoly/competitive and/or industrial companies), and/or products.

• Analytical thinking and attention to detail, result oriented professional.

• Basic knowledge of Audit procedures.

• Self-driven and autonomous.

• Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and to travel domestically & internationally to meet suppliers.
