Job Responsibility- Hardware Engineer II
Job Description:
Responsible for component related activities like managing preferred parts/obsolescence/ developing second source/Low cost alternates/Identify & influence design reviews with respect to component risks & technology roadmaps/New part approvals & rejections
Also will be responsible to understand PAS product line knowledge, Usage scenarios and involve in decision making when it comes to product level obsolescence.
Responsible for Partners Satisfaction by working closely within PAS and other related stakeholders
Responsible for monitoring, benchmarking, reporting and continuous improvement with respect Component Engineering process and practices.
Collaborate with other relevant teams to develop automation tools and processes.
Manage and Develop relationship with Key Component Suppliers to ensure availability and turnaround time on critical information required to complete component engineering task.
Should be independent decision maker when it comes to technical decisions around component engineering.
Skills/Qualifications:
– B.E in Electronics Engineering & minimum 6 years of experience in Electronics Products manufacturing Industry(working in OEM is preferred). Experience/knowledge may include high level of PCB layout design, assembling, circuit design & component sourcing. Experience/knowledge may also include project ownership and teamwork.
- Familiarity with IHS tool or any other component Engineering tool.
– Exceptional components technology and business acumen. Working knowledge of key technology and Latest tools used in Component Engineering field.
– Familiarization with Electronics Components and its Usage. Knowledge of basic mechanical components and electromechanical components will be an added advantage.
– Working knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and commodity strategy practices with demonstrated business acumen.
– Demonstrated ability to work with Technology, Sourcing and Manufacturing teams to deliver CE results within a SLA and process improvements.
– Must have excellent communications (verbal and written), scheduling, organizational skills, and high enthusiasm.
– Candidate must have demonstrated experience in managing high performing individual contributors in a global organization in a remote/global environment.
– Demonstrated teamwork and facilitation skills to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders.
– Demonstrated performance in risk identification and mitigation.
– Demonstrated pro-active decision-making and decisiveness ability.
