What You'll Do
Lead and shape the UX vision for agentic AI experiences across Eightfold’s platform, starting with Talent Acquisition workflows and expanding across the broader talent lifecycle.
As a player-coach, you will lead a small team of designers while remaining deeply hands-on in defining the next generation of AI-native interaction models.
Key responsibilities
Lead and mentor a high-performing UX design team while actively contributing to design execution.
Define the design language and interaction patterns for agentic AI systems where AI performs tasks autonomously rather than simply assisting users.
Design intuitive and trustworthy experiences that balance automation, transparency, and human control.
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and AI teams to bring complex agent behaviors to life through clear and effective interfaces.
Translate ambiguous product concepts into clear design frameworks, prototypes, and scalable UX systems.
Prototype and experiment rapidly using modern design and AI tools to validate interaction ideas early.
Build design narratives and storytelling artifacts that help align stakeholders and leadership on product vision.
Establish best practices for AI transparency, explainability, and trust-building in enterprise workflows.
Create scalable UX patterns that support both recruiter productivity and candidate experience.
What We Look For
We are looking for a design leader who combines deep UX craft with strong product thinking and leadership ability.
Required qualifications:
10+ years of progressive experience in UX / Product Design, including experience leading design teams.
Strong portfolio demonstrating complex enterprise product design and system-level thinking.
Experience designing AI-native, machine learning–driven, or agent-based products.
Ability to design for autonomous or semi-autonomous AI workflows where systems take action rather than only providing recommendations.
Strong understanding of design systems, interaction frameworks, and scalable UX architecture.
Proven ability to collaborate closely with engineering and product leadership in fast-moving environments.
Strong storytelling and communication skills with the ability to articulate design vision to executives and cross-functional teams.
Ability to operate effectively as a player-coach, balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on design work.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working on AI/ML platforms, enterprise SaaS products, or productivity software.
Familiarity with modern AI-assisted prototyping and design tools.
Experience building or scaling design teams in high-growth startups or technology companies.
