American Express Global Business Travel DevOps Engineer in Bangalore, India

We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes. You will work collaboratively with development and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure systems that support our business objectives.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
Manage artifact repositories and dependencies using Nexus
Administer and optimize containerized environments using OpenShift and Kubernetes
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Ansible
Write and maintain automation scripts in Groovy, YAML, Shell, and other DevOps-related scripting languages
Implement AI and automation ideas towards DevOps and platform engineering solutions
Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize performance
Manage version control workflows using GitHub
Document processes and maintain project tracking in Jira and Confluence
What We're looking For
3 – 5 years of Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance
Proficiency with Nexus for artifact and dependency management
Strong experience (3 – 5 years) with GitHub and GitHub Actions for version control and automation
Demonstrated expertise (3 – 5 years) in OpenShift and/or Kubernetes container orchestration
Solid knowledge (3 years) of Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management
Programming/scripting proficiency (3 years) in Groovy, YAML, Shell, and other DevOps-related languages
Experience with Jira for issue tracking and project management
Familiarity with Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
