Your role and responsibilities
As a Data Engineer specializing in Master Data Management, you will design, implement, and maintain a unified, accurate, and reliable master data environment that supports business operations, analytics, and decision-making. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify data gaps and prioritize Master Data Management initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Develop and Enforce Data Governance: Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and security, and maintain a single, trusted view of master data entities to support business growth, innovation, and success. • Implement Master Data Models: Implement master data models and data integration processes to support business operations and analytics, and ensure data accuracy and reliability. • Ensure Data Quality and Security: Ensure data quality and security by implementing data validation, data cleansing, and data normalization processes, and monitor data for errors and inconsistencies. • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data gaps and prioritize Master Data Management initiatives, and develop and execute change management plans to ensure organizational adoption and alignment with Master Data Management strategies and policies. • Analyze and Solve Problems: Analyze data-related problems and develop solutions to improve data quality, data integrity, and data security, and provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders to inform business decisions.
Required technical and professional expertise
• Exposure to Master Data Management Tools: Experience working with MDM tools such as Infosphere MDM, Informatica MDM, and SAP MDG, with the ability to design, implement, and maintain a unified, accurate, and reliable master data environment. • Data Governance Knowledge: Understanding of data governance principles and practices, with the ability to develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and security. • Data Analytics Platforms: Familiarity with data analytics platforms, with the ability to analyze data-related problems and develop solutions to improve data quality, data integrity, and data security. • Data Integration Processes: Experience with data integration processes, including data validation, data cleansing, and data normalization, with the ability to ensure data accuracy and reliability. • Technical Proficiency: Technical proficiency in implementing master data models and data integration processes to support business operations and analytics.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Data Analytics Platforms: Familiarity with data analytics platforms to analyze data-related problems and develop solutions to improve data quality, data integrity, and data security. • Business Acumen: Exposure to business operations and analytics to support business growth, innovation, and success. • Change Management: Experience with change management plans to ensure organizational adoption and alignment with Master Data Management strategies and policies.
