What You Can Expect
The primary responsibilities of the Procurement Category Manager are to manage end-to-end procurement activities for their category and lead cross-functional supplier qualifications for their assigned category. They will be responsible for securing total cost of ownership reductions for their assigned category, define global strategy, and work with other counterparts globally to execute the regional strategies.

How You'll Create Impact
End-to-end accountability for defining the category and supplier strategy with stakeholders and delivering year-over-year cost reduction within their category
Responsible for the development and execution of global category strategies for IT Services, Hardware, Software, and Telecom. This role may be for one or several of the IT sub categories listed.
Strategic interface with suppliers and accountable for building strong and strategic supplier relationships
Understand supplier market dynamics/intelligence and use it as input into the strategy
Monitor and report compliance to Source-to-Pay process for their category/suppliers
Drive supplier selection according to strategy, develop supplier base, and identify new suppliers
Ensure alignment, anticipate changes, and drive activities based on supply market changes and broader company/functional strategy
Lead contract and price negotiations withs suppliers
Create and update supplier list according to category strategy
Work closely with key stakeholders, member organizations and corporate functions to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans.
Identify and define procurement best practices both within and external to Zimmer Biomet and ensure that those best practices are implemented in their category

Your Background
Required Skills
End-to-end Strategic Procurement experience in IT category or sub-category
Contract Management – Negotiations, signing contract agreements, driving RFP process.
Cost Management - Cost analysis/ Expense analysis/ Spend analysis
Internal (IT Leadership, Legal and finance for privacy) and External (Supplier/Vendor) stakeholder Management
Desired Skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel for analytics, is required.
Excellent Communication skills.
Prior experience working in US/North America/European markets or Multinational organizations is preferred
Open for both IT (Hardware or Software or both). Non-IT category with strong global procurement experience
Power Bi/Tableau for analytics are plus
SAP Ariba is nice to have
Education and Experience Requirements
Experience Range: 10+ Years
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline required
Experience in a regulated environment preferred
Specialized Procurement or related certification or training strongly preferred.
Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or training preferred.
Travel Expectations
Must possess the ability to travel on a regular basis with overnight stays up to 25%. Occasional regional travel and global travel may be required.
