Job Title: Interior Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to provide a blend of project management, space planning, and design for commercial projects. The role involves assisting with the creation of renderings and construction document sets, understanding local codes, selecting finishes, conducting BOMA calculations, and performing permitting and construction administration tasks. The candidate will interface with customers to provide design leadership.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from conception to completion.
Conduct space planning for commercial projects.
Create detailed renderings and construction document sets.
Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
Select finishes and perform BOMA calculations.
Handle permitting and oversee construction administration tasks.
Interface with customers and provide design leadership.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for design and construction documentation.
Experience in interior design, rendering, and design production support.
Competency in space planning and construction administration.
Knowledge of Sketchup.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum four-year college degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
LEED Certification is a plus.
Experience with commercial and/or corporate interiors is required.
Exposure to mission-critical or healthcare projects is advantageous.
Work Environment
The office is located in downtown Baltimore, offering a beautiful water view in Fells Point. The majority of employees operate in a hybrid role, working remotely while coming into the office as needed. The office culture is strong with low turnover, and there are opportunities for advancement into an Associate or Project Management role. The studio focuses on government integrators and SCIFF work, with crossover into healthcare and Sr. living projects. Office presence is required only one day a week, which can be split into two half-days if necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $45.67/hr.
