Low Voltage Technician - Access Control, CCTV, Security Systems

We are seeking an Experienced Low Voltage Technician with strong handson skills who can independently install, service, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of lowvoltage security and door systems.


Position Overview

The Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for advanced installation and repair of access control systems, door hardware, security systems, CCTV systems, structured cabling, and automatic doors. This position requires strong mechanical ability, problemsolving skills, and the professionalism to deliver excellent service in the field with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities

Low Voltage Installation and Service

Install, configure, and service:

  • Access control systems (badge readers, mag locks, strikes, controllers, panels)
  • CCTV systems (IP cameras, analog cameras, NVR, VMS platforms)
  • Automatic door systems and electronic locking hardware
  • Security alarm systems
  • Structured cabling (Cat5/6, lowvoltage wiring)

Additional duties include:

  • Diagnose complex lowvoltage electrical issues
  • Inspect doors, windows, frames, and hardware for mechanical or electrical failures
  • Perform detailed service and ensure proper system functionality
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site
Documentation and Workflow Management
  • Prepare accurate job details, materials used, labor hours, and service notes
  • Communicate parts, materials, or special project needs to management
  • Provide job estimates/quotes for customer proposals
  • Maintain inventory and organization of work vehicle
  • Respond promptly to dispatch and maintain communication throughout the day
Customer Service and Professionalism
  • Provide topquality customer service on every job
  • Educate customers about system operation, maintenance, and recommendations
  • Identify and recommend upgrades, addon products, or additional services
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct

Operational and Physical Requirements

  • Safe operation of company service vehicle
  • Use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work on ladders, at heights, and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions yearround
  • Perform well under time pressure in a fastpaced environment

Required Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of Low Voltage Technician experience (Required)
  • Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, alarms, and lowvoltage troubleshooting
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
  • Must be mechanically inclined with excellent problemsolving ability
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Organized, reliable, and committed to excellent attendance
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record (Required)
  • Low Voltage License (Required)
  • Ability to lift/push 50+ lbs
  • Ability to kneel, climb, crouch, reach overhead
  • Experience with door installation and repair is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent referred

  • 10hour shifts
  • Monday-Friday
