V2X VF1630-Database Administrator in Balad, Iraq

Overview

Manages and maintains database systems to ensure their performance, security, and availability. Responsible for database installation, configuration, upgrading, and patching. Performs regular backups, recovery, and troubleshooting to prevent data loss and minimize downtime. Monitors database performance and implements tuning and optimization strategies. Collaborates with development teams to design and implement database schemas and supports data integration and migration efforts. Ensures compliance with data security policies and best practices. Provides user support and documentation related to database usage.

Responsibilities

  • Act as SME for integration, maintenance and update of Aviation Logistics Maintenance Information Management System (MIS) in support of F-16 aircraft and associated equipment operations

  • Performs full spectrum support across all functions of MIS to include:

  • Flight support

  • Supply chain management

  • Aircraft, munitions and support equipment

  • Engine management

  • Training functions

  • Provides training and assistance to a diverse team of Iraqi Air Force and CLS personnel

  • Develop new system records and reports to enhance aircraft and equipment management

  • Devises, plans and delivers user and super user level training to a diverse team of Iraqi Air Force and CLS personnel.

  • Perform additional duties as required to support program management team

Qualifications

  • Experience with ILIAS logistics system at database administrator or higher level

  • Extensive background in aviation maintenance administration, plans, scheduling and documentation, supply functions and flight operations

  • Willingness to work and live in an austere deployed environment

  • Experience integrating and working alongside multinational teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to transform shared vision into action

  • Demonstrated capability to work with minimum direction

  • Active Security Clearance
