Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to work as a Maintenance Mechanic in a fast-paced manufacturing facility, where you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and complete repairs to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. You will focus on diagnosing and resolving problems with motors, gauges, pumps, conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and some automated equipment such as PLCs and VFDs to minimize downtime and support continuous operations. Ideal candidates will come from a food & beverage environment.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with motors, gauges, pumps, conveyor systems, and material handling equipment.
Identify, analyze, and repair faults in automated equipment, including PLCs and VFDs, to restore proper functionality.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and maintain workflow.
Inspect machinery and equipment regularly to detect wear, damage, or potential failures before they impact production.
Use appropriate tools and test equipment to perform mechanical repairs, adjustments, and component replacements.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support accurate recordkeeping and future troubleshooting.
Collaborate with production and other maintenance personnel to prioritize work orders and coordinate repairs around production schedules.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working on equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues and recommending long-term solutions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
