Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, and operational infrastructure of a high-volume food and beverage processing facility. This role supports daily plant operations by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility improvements while ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working at elevated heights.
Responsibilities
Perform building repairs including walls, doors, hardware, flooring, and structural elements.
Complete painting projects, building touch-ups, and parking lot striping as needed.
Conduct restroom repairs including fixtures, dispensers, and minor plumbing tasks.
Support routine and emergency maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulating lifts safely and effectively.
Perform work from elevated platforms for tasks such as painting, gutter cleaning, and rooftop access.
Maintain exterior grounds, including walkways, parking areas, and building exteriors.
Experience with facilities, grounds, and building maintenance
Skills in painting, plumbing, and electrical repair
Proficiency in drywall repair and parking lot striping
Capability to perform door, restroom, and floor repairs
Experience using scissor lifts and working at elevated heights
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to perform building repairs and touch-ups
Experience with minor plumbing tasks and fixture repairs
Safety-focused and mechanically inclined
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bakersfield, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
