Temporary Fulltime position from 3-1-2026 to 11-30-2026 48 Hours/week $18.48/ hour US worker H-2A Adverse Housing Compensation Adjustment -$1.80 -- Wage for H-2A workers provided housing is $16.68 GENERAL FARM RANCH WORKERS must perform any combination of the following tasks to attend to the production of livestock: provide supplement feed and water for livestock from March through May (prior to moving livestock to the summer range at which point they do not require daily care) ; assist with calving from mid March through May, examine livestock to detect diseases and injuries; assist with the vaccination of livestock by herding into corral and/or stall or manually restraining animal on the range; applies medications to cuts and bruises; spray livestock with insecticide; assists with castration of livestock; clips identifying notches on or brands animals; manually clean stalls/corrals. Move cattle to the range to graze on natural grasslands from May to October (no feeding required). Cattle are shipped in November. Worker is required to work with many different types of farm machinery for soil preparation including spraying and some irrigation. Worker will be required to drive and control farm equipment for the production of hay, wheat, corn and pulse crops and make minor repairs on the equipment they operate. Basic fencing maintenance will be required along with facility and grounds maintenance. To work as an agriculture equipment operator requires physical coordination, decision-making ability, mechanical aptitude and driving skills. The job entails working outdoors in all types of weather (extreme heat, cold, wind, dust, rain and snow). Worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds. Increased wages or bonus may be possible depending on experience Housing and Workers Compensation insurance will be provided at no charge to the workers. Social security / Medicaid Taxes and Federal / State taxes will be withheld from U.S. Worker's paychecks. Voluntary withholdings will be deducted from foreign workers' paychecks at their request. Employer will make the following deductions when applicable: FICA, loans and advances, long-distance telephone charges the reasonable repair or replacement cost of willful or negligent damage to housing, tools and equipment caused by the worker (other than normal wear and tear). Worker who quit or are terminated for cause prior to completing 50% of the contract will be required to reimburse the employer for the full amounts of advanced and/or reimbursed transportation and subsistence. Employer provided items (at no cost to the worker): All tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned as well as transportation between worker(s) on-site housing and the work site. A cell phone or two-way radio will be provided for emergency and ranch communications at no cost to the worker (excluding long distance charges). The expected work schedule may be required in a split shift due to the nature of the job duties. Hours may vary due to weather, time of year and the requirements of the job. Work may be offered more than the specified hours per day, but only required to work the hours specified. Work may be offered 7 days a week but only required 6 days a week.
