Eastern Plains Economic Development Corporation Community Development Specialist in Baker, Montana
Must live within 5 county region (Carter, Dawson, Fallon, Prairie or Wibaux) but will be required to work out of the Baker or Glendive office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent writing, research and project management skills
- Demonstrated competency in persuasive writing, team collaboration, effective verbal and written communication and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of State, Federal and private grant/loan programs
- Experience with community planning projects and downtown revitalization
- Competency in development and tracking of project budgets and financial management
- Experience with public speaking and group facilitation
- Skilled in coordinating large, complex projects, meeting deadlines and working effectively under pressure
- Travel is required within the 5 county EPEDC service area
- Occasional travel outside the region, including overnight travel to attend meetings, workshops and training seminars, is also required
- Set work hours with occasional evening hours
- Position requires the ability to communicate with the public, co-workers, and stakeholder groups on a regular basis
- May need to sit at a desk, at meetings, and in vehicles for long periods of time
- Must be able to stand and walk short distances, stoop and bend, handle and lift books, papers, and office equipment up to 50 pounds
- Maintain a valid driver's license, some use of a personal vehicle may be required with appropriate mileage reimbursement
DUTIES:
- Responsible for facilitating community projects that contribute to successful business operations and vibrant communities
- Administer federal, state, or foundation grants
- Project planning, outreach and research
- Grant writing
- Project Management
- Administrative, recordkeeping, project budget management and compliance
- Provide administrative support related to all activities of the EPEDC
Part-time position with the option of a full-time position with benefit package, including health insurance stipend and contribution to retirement program, if combined with the Food & Ag Development Specialist position.
Starting pay is between $17.00 - $19.91 per hour, depending on experience.
