REQUIREMENTS: * Enrollment in the Oregon Child Care Division Central Background Registry * High School Diploma * Within 30 days of hire: Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification and Oregon Food Handler\'s Card PREFERRED: * CDA or AA in ECE preferred (transcripts required if hired) JOB DUTIES: * Substitute for contracted staff as needed; Work cooperatively with staff, parents and volunteers to carry out program duties in order to meet the nutritional, intellectual, emotional, social and physical needs of Head Start children and their families. * Help the Teacher maintain a safe, healthy, emotionally secure learning environment; Help to implement daily lesson plans and follow a consistent schedule that includes one-on-one time, small and large group experiences, choice time, music and movement, large and small motor activities, skill development, two meals, and effective transitions between activities; Encourage language use, experimentation, exploration, problem solving, cooperation, socialization, and choice-making; Contribute to an atmosphere that promotes and reinforces parental involvement in the classroom; Supervise and monitor children at all times. * May Contribute to the maintenance of accurate written records, including screening and assessment, special education documentation, anecdotal observations, documents for transition to public school under the direction of the Teacher; Maintain Adjunct timesheet entered into web time through EOU Mountie Hub by date due: Maintain open and on-going lines of communication within the direct service team, with enrolled families, with consultants and service providers, as assigned.
