Job Duties
• Oversee the daily operations, priorities, and activities of the Highway Department.
• Conducts and performs professional engineering responsibilities in overseeing and designing construction and maintenance projects.
• Administers and oversee all contracted services/projects and service agreements with other public jurisdictions.
• Supervises, manages, and handles all personnel related issues with the Highway Department.
• Performs and conducts a variety of public relations activities and responsivities.
• Solicits project funding to state and/or federal agencies.
• Performs other duties of a comparable level or type, as required.
Minimum Education Required
Minimum of 5 years’ professional civil engineering experience involved in the designing and oversight of civil engineering projects and 3 years management supervisory experience. Preferred Bachelor of Science degree and Major field of study or degree in Civil Engineering.
