We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Processor Trading Operations
The HSBC Custody Asset Services Department is responsible for the processing of dividends, coupons and mandatory/voluntary corporate actions related to equity and fixed income products through the lifecycle of the corporate event. This role is primarily responsible for Dividend related processing.
Principal Accountabilities:
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
This role is responsible for dividends processing for US and Non-US equities
Requires strong understanding dividend calculation and processing, products will include US and Non-US equity products
Strong understanding of tax consequences for dividend events including NRA and knowledge of Depositary Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) EDS process as well relief at source processing,
Processing knowledge in Broadridge’s BPS application and understanding of complex stock record positions is a plus
Knowledge of DTC processing, CA Web and SmartTrack, Postedge
Strong understanding or market practice around claims and counterparty payments
Ability to create wire payments in Swift message format types MT202, MT103, MT599
Knowledge of SWIFT messaging is a plus, primarily MT564/565/566/567/568 messages
Act as liaison with internal/external business partners
Review cash/stock record reconciliations, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution on breaks
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Computer literacy, intermediate knowledge of MS Excel a must. Working knowledge of MS Outlook and Word.
Must be detailed oriented, good problem solver, should have good communication skills
Must have strong overall knowledge of US Domestic Equity markets, with knowledge of foreign dividends – mainly Canada and Europe.
Minimum of 2 years experience in relevant role
