TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor COMP RANGE:50,851.72 - 84,752.52 Annual plus bonus LOCATION: On-Site, Avon, OH Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to Supervise maintenance personnel and set priorities for maintenance schedules. Develop and manage maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to meet or exceed budgeted performance. Maintain facility and manufacturing assets, oversee parts inventory, and manage spending, purchase orders, and invoice approvals. Establish and manage the departmental budget by reviewing financial statements and monitoring efficiencies, labor costs, and other expenses. Lead, train, and develop maintenance staff while setting clear direction and performance expectations. Conduct formal performance evaluations twice per year with ongoing feedback throughout the year. Ensure technical quality of maintenance work and hold team members accountable to established standards. Drive Maintenance, Reliability, and TPM initiatives with a focus on preventive and predictive maintenance. Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors, ensuring safety and effective project management. Collaborate with Engineering, Plant Management, and other functions on production capacity planning and capability development. Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment. Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as needed. Expertise and Experiences You'll Need to Succeed: Qualified candidates will have: High School diploma or GED with 10 plus years of experience Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field with 5 plus years of experience. 5+ years' experience in a similar supervisor maintenance role, with strong technical, mechanical, maintenance and/or engineering experience 5+ years of supervisory experience Demonstrable knowledge of maintenance disciplines - electricity, electronics/automation (PLC), lubrication, mechanical transmissions Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekend and cover for techs if needed. Must Have's: 1.Strong Technical & Maintenance Expertise (HandsOn + Systems Knowledge) This role is deeply technical. The supervisor must understand: * Electrical, mechanical, lubrication, and automation/PLC systems * Preventive & predictive maintenance * Maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment * CMMS usage and asset management Without this foundation, they can't lead the team, verify work quality, or drive reliability improvements. 2. Proven Leadership & People Management Skills The job is as much about leading people as it is about maintaining equipment. Critical expectations include: * Supervising and developing maintenance personnel * Setting priorities and direction * Conducting performance evaluations and giving ongoing feedback * Holding the team accountable to technical standards * Coordinating contractors and crossfunctional partners This is a leadership-heavy role, not just a technical one. 3.
