Descripción de puesto

Define and standardize processes through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools to improve the production of a specific business unit

  1. Define and standardize work methods by creating flowcharts and/or conducting man-machine analyses to reduce variation and improve process flow.

  2. Participate in and ensure compliance with safety projects and guidelines.

  3. Promote and participate in continuous improvement projects, considering the scope of the job.

  4. Document production processes using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operating instructions to ensure that the operator follows the defined work methods for the process.

  5. Analyze and balance production line capacity using time study and demand forecasting tools to ensure compliance with the short- and medium-term production plan.

  6. Design workstations using ergonomic and methods engineering principles to improve workstations and prevent repetitive motion injuries.

  1. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing tools and techniques and standardized work practices to improve the organization's profitability. 8. Provide support during the transfer or start-up of a production line by defining Bills of Materials (BOMs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process flows, and routings to ensure the smooth introduction of new product operations.

  2. Participate in Kaizen projects within the Operational Excellence (OPEX) department, contributing to the team during Kaizen Week and providing process improvement ideas to generate high-impact organizational projects.

  3. Define and maintain BOMs and operating routes, validating the design bill of materials against the overall matrix to ensure that the process and product comply with the established development phase.

  4. Resolve process problems by conducting root cause analysis to drive continuous process improvement.

  5. Perform other duties inherent to the position according to the needs of the company. Purpose: To meet the established goals of the organization.

  6. Comply with safety, hygiene and environmental programs and policies, with a preventive and educational approach that allows preventing accidents and occupational diseases, improving working conditions, and reducing environmental impacts

Perfil solicitado

EDUCATION

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

  • Lean certification (desirable).

ENGLISH LEVEL

  • Intermediate English.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Microsoft Office Suite Intermediate-Advanced.

OTHER SKILLS

  • CAD/CAM design (desirable).

  • Manufacturing process design (desirable).

  • Knowledge/handling of measuring equipment (dimensional metrology).
