Aerotek Dryer Operators in AVENEL, New Jersey

Job Title: Dryer Operators Job Description

We are seeking skilled Dryer Operators who will be responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring the drying process of chemical slurry. Operators will track production output using computer systems and perform minor repairs on process equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate an industrial dryer to dry wet product, ensuring it is packaged and documented correctly.

  • Maintain a full understanding of each piece of equipment and control system in the assigned work area, including startup, operation, and shutdown procedures.

  • Diagnose equipment issues and understand equipment hazards for safe operation.

  • Familiarize with equipment layout and its impact on surrounding processes and storage areas.

  • Adhere to operating procedures, including process, safety, and maintenance protocols.

  • Understand process and chemical hazards in the area.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot chemical process equipment.

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience in minor equipment repairs.

  • Proficiency in using computers for documentation and tracking systems.

  • 1-2 years of experience in process equipment operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Experience in maintaining production schedules.

Work Environment

This position is based in an older manufacturing facility currently undergoing upgrades. The environment offers a small team dynamic, providing opportunities to learn various roles within the facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AVENEL, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
