Assist with planning and coordinating advanced technical reviews of nonstandard designs. Review submitted design documentation, administrative requirements, and operational components for program compliance. Document review results in technical correspondence and reports.and#183; Support implementation of OSSF program activities. Assist with implementation, development, and coordination of OSSF program initiatives and projects. Serve as a project coordinator or technical resource for special projects, which may include participation in rulemaking workgroups, research initiatives, legislative coordination or analysis, and review of governmental entities seeking authorization to regulate OSSFs. Provide technical support for OSSF grant projects.and#183; Perform technical review of OSSF equipment and technologies. Assist with technical evaluations of proprietary OSSF equipment and treatment technologies submitted for agency consideration. Prepare summaries, reports, and recommendations based on review of submitted documentation. Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, designers, consultants, and agency staff to support review activities. Maintain knowledge of applicable standards and program requirements related to OSSF technologies and beneficial reuse.and#183; Provide technical assistance and program support. Assist in responding to requests for information regarding OSSF program requirements from management, the legislature, regulated entities, and the public. Prepare correspondence addressing technical and programmatic OSSF issues. Provide technical assistance to agency staff, regional investigators, Authorized Agents, consultants, system designers, manufacturer representatives, and stakeholders.and#183; Support outreach and education. Assist with public outreach and education related to the OSSF program. Provide presentations and informational briefings to the regulated community, local regulatory authorities, and agency staff regarding OSSF program requirements and practices.KEY QUALIFICATIONSand#183; Experience implementing or interpreting state regulations; especially those related to on-site sewage facility (OSSF) regulatory approval or permitting, or environmental consulting.and#183; Experience with development, application, or reviewing of engineering standards, reports, plans, designs, rules, or regulations; especially those related to OSSF or sewage treatment systems.and#183; Experience with projects related to the development and implementation of regulatory processes.and#183; Experience with rulemaking, guidance development, policy analysis, development of permitting processes, or state/federal legislative process. Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSA bachelorand#8217;s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in engineering, basic science, mathematics, environmental science, computer science or a related field, plus five years of full-time experience in performing engineering, technical, or related assignments.ORA masterand#8217;s degree rom an accredited college or university in the specified fields plus four years of full-time experience in performing engineering, technical, or related assignments.Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination may be substituted for six months of the required experience.One year of full-time experience in performing engineering, technical, or related assignments may be substituted for each year of the required education.Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility.
