See details about what we do.This position is a member of our Remediation Division.HEREand#8217;S WHAT YOUand#8217;LL BE DOINGPlan and coordinate all phases of highly advanced and/or managerial engineering work in accordance with Superfund Section guidelines. Oversee contracts/work orders to achieve corrective action at Superfund Section sites. Communicate with internal staff, the public, contractors, and other governmental entities. Represent the agency at technical functions, seminars, and meetings. Update databases and maintain project files.KEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience working with Superfund statutes and regulations. Experience with project management, work orders/contracts, and/or budgets. Experience working with technical and regulatory material, procedures, and/or policies relevant to contaminant remediation and/or Superfund. Qualifications: REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCEMinimum QualificationsTexas Professional Engineer's license plus five years of full-time engineering experience beyond licensure. Qualifying work experience includes obtained post licensure as an engineering graduate student or teacher.ORCareer ladder progressionOne year of full-time experience at TCEQ as an Engineer V.CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEESThis position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within theEngineer VIstate classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in theEngineer VI series.Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business Commerce Code Section 117.001(2).
