Emerson Talent Management Program Lead in Austin, Texas
The Talent Management Lead is responsible for leading the coordination, implementation, and execution of core talent management practices across the T&M business group. This role serves as a key link between Enterprise HR and T&M, ensuring enterprise talent processes and programs are effectively translated, deployed, and sustained in ways that meet business needs.
The role partners closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and Enterprise HR teams to drive the successful implementation of core talent processes, including Performance Management, Talent Planning, and Career Development, as well as enterprise Let’s Lead programs across T&M. This position requires strong stakeholder management, project management, implementation discipline, and change leadership to ensure enterprise programs and talent practices are coordinated effectively and adopted across the business.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Program Coordination and Implementation
• Lead the coordination and implementation of enterprise talent management programs across the T&M business group.
• Serve as the primary connector between Enterprise HR and T&M to ensure enterprise initiatives are translated into practical, business-aligned implementation plans.
• Coordinate the deployment of enterprise programs, frameworks, and processes across T&M, ensuring alignment, consistency, and effective execution.
• Adapt enterprise solutions as needed for T&M business realities while maintaining alignment with enterprise intent and standards.
• Track implementation progress, identify gaps or barriers, and drive follow-through to support successful adoption across the business.
Talent Management Process Leadership
• Lead the execution of core talent management processes across T&M, including Performance Management, Talent Planning, and Career Development.
• Build and refine high-level processes and implementation approaches that support successful rollout and sustained execution across the business group.
• Ensure talent processes are clear, practical, scalable, and aligned to both enterprise direction and T&M business priorities.
• Support ongoing enhancement of talent management practices through feedback, lessons learned, and evolving organizational needs.
Stakeholder Partnership
• Partner closely with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and Enterprise HR to align on talent priorities, implementation requirements, and expected outcomes.
• Build strong relationships across stakeholder groups to support collaboration, clarity, and shared ownership for talent initiatives.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for coordinating enterprise talent management and Let’s Lead programs within T&M.
• Influence and align stakeholders across a matrixed environment to support consistent execution and business engagement.
Program and Project Coordination
• Lead project management and program coordination for talent initiatives by organizing workstreams, defining priorities, sequencing deliverables, and aligning resources.
• Break down broad talent strategies and enterprise programs into actionable implementation plans for T&M.
• Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring strong execution, clear accountability, and alignment to timelines and milestones.
• Monitor risks, dependencies, and resource needs, and proactively address issues that may impact implementation success.
Enterprise Let’s Lead Program Support
• Partner with Enterprise HR on the rollout and coordination of Let’s Lead programs across T&M.
• Ensure enterprise Let’s Lead offerings are effectively embedded within T&M through strong planning, communication, and execution.
• Support implementation readiness and stakeholder alignment for Let’s Lead participation and adoption.
• Coordinate with business leaders and HR partners to ensure Let’s Lead programs are aligned to business needs and talent priorities.
Competency Framework and Assessment Integration
• Lead the use and integration of relevant competency leadership frameworks within T&M talent practices.
• Coordinate the implementation of 360 assessments as part of talent planning and development processes.
• Partner with stakeholders to embed competency tools and insights into development planning and talent discussions.
• Build awareness and capability among HR and business leaders in applying tools effectively.
Change Management and Adoption
• Support change management efforts related to enterprise talent strategies, Let’s Lead programs, and evolving talent processes across T&M.
• Develop and drive communication, stakeholder engagement, and readiness activities that improve understanding and adoption.
• Help leaders and HR partners navigate change by providing structure, coordination, and practical implementation support.
• Reinforce consistent adoption of enterprise programs and talent practices across the T&M organization.
Who You Are:
For This Role, You Will Need:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or a related field required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in talent management, organizational development, HR, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading or coordinating the implementation of enterprise talent processes or programs within a business segment or matrixed organization.
• Experience supporting or leading performance management, talent planning, succession, and career development processes.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional programs and managing complex implementation efforts.
• Experience partnering with enterprise COEs, HRBPs, and business leaders.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Experience with Korn Ferry Leadership Architect and/or KF360 assessments preferred.
• Global or cross-regional experience preferred.
