As an System Development Engineer, Supply Chain Technology, you will be working with a unique and gifted team and partnering with cross-functional teams. You will be primary owner for designing, developing and implementing and maintaining the ERP extensions and customizations, working with the ERP tech spec along with AWS components like React, Node JS and JavaScript.
You will be a catalyst for effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and will invent mechanisms and processes for speed and scale in our context. Key job responsibilities
Design, build and extend applications. Design and develop solutions and maintain multiple applications within an ERP system and open source technologies as required.
Develop technical specifications.
Configure standard applications.
Developing and implementing UI components using React.js
Partnering with cross-functional teams to design and ship new features
Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
Optimizing components for maximum performance across various web browsers
Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
Troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure smooth user experiences
Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency
A day in the life
On any given day, the team member will work on a variety of items, including but not limited to, troubleshooting, perform enhancements, write out documentation, attend meeting and keep up with new technologies.
About the team
You will be a member of the Engineering team whose mission is to delight customers in their use of ERP via functionality and ease of use. We are looking for team members who can ask probing questions when dealing with customers and at the same time, delight the customers with a quick turnaround. New ideas are always welcomed as well as the willingness to be a team player.
Our ERP instance uses the Supply Chain modules and the main customers are Amazon’s OpsTech Solutions- Supply Chain (OTS-SC) with additional customers coming from outside OTS-SC. Our customer are global in nature and the ability to see big picture in terms of ERP will come in handy. As we branch out into the AWS tool set, your knowledge of these tools will be a great addition to the team.
Basic Qualifications
1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with jQuery, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Ractive, Ember, or Angular, along with the knowledge of when to use them
Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
Experience working with changing priorities and schedules
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux)
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration
Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Tokens
Understanding of front-end build tools and pipelines
A strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality code
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
Experience building services using AWS products
Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Experience working with Git or an equivalent distributed version control system
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
