Job Information

Amazon System Development Engineer, AWS Marketing Experience Team in Austin, Texas

Description

We're building AI-powered marketing productivity platform for AWS — Quick Suite agents, cross-platform integrations, and workflow automations that serve hundreds of marketers across six marketing personas. This is greenfield work with no existing playbook. You define the patterns.

As a Systems Development Engineer on the Marketer Experience team (AWS Marketing), you'll build the integrations and automations that connect six plus marketing platforms — Quick Suite, Salesforce, Workfront, Airtable, Slack, EMS, and Marketo — into a unified, intelligent ecosystem. You'll work with other engineers, building workflow automations, data pipelines, platform integrations, and Quick Suite components that become the foundation for marketing automation across all of AWS Marketing.

What makes this role unique:

Greenfield — no existing playbook, you establish the patterns others will follow

AI/agentic — you'll grow into building Quick Suite agents that reason across data and take actions

Visible impact — your work is used daily by marketers running AWS's highest-profile programs

Key job responsibilities

Contribute to Quick agent development — building Quick Flows for agent actions, configuring knowledge sources, testing agent output quality, and designing structured audit logging

Write code to solve integration problems that platform-native tools cannot handle — API orchestration, data transformation scripts, custom webhook handlers

Write technical design documents for every integration before building — clearly articulating the approach, data flow, error handling, and monitoring strategy

Document reusable patterns — Fusion scenario templates, Salesforce Flow design patterns, SPICE dataset conventions, Slack notification standards — so that future engineers can build without your direct involvement

Set up monitoring and alerting for data pipeline freshness and integration health across all platforms

Configure Quick Suite SPICE datasets — field mapping from Salesforce and EMS sources, refresh scheduling, incremental vs. full load strategy, and data quality validation

Build Quick dashboards for marketing program status, campaign quality metrics, and operational tracking
