The Senior Manager, Solar Project Manager leads the execution of assigned energy generation projects including construction, safety, quality, schedule, contractor(s) scope and budget.
Role Responsibilities:
Manage the execution of assigned project/projects within the established schedule and budgetary constraints and in compliance with safety, reliability, technical quality and regulatory requirements
Proactively manage the execution of project contracts including review and approval of change orders and invoices
Coordinate project expectations, workflows and communications across multiple departments and Stakeholders, internal or external, to ensure overall compliance with the project objectives, contracts, budgets and schedules
Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of key deliverables related to projects and tasks managed
Identify, report and manage project risks. Facilitate collaboration with the appropriate project Stakeholders to develop mitigation plans
Build the project site team and provide the appropriate direction to accomplish project goals and objectives
Maintain appropriate communication with senior management and all project groups and functions within and outside the company. Manage progress status reporting, as required
Ensure the highest level of environmental health and safety on assigned energy project/projects
Job Requirements and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a construction-related field from an accredited university preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience; 5 years of progressive project management experience
Experience in the power generation field is preferred. Oil and Gas experience will be considered
Construction field experience is preferred
Able to travel 25% to 50% of the time
Has a valid US driver’s license
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate and lead people from a diverse set of backgrounds
Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWE Americas offices and field locations
Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois or New York is $160,000 - $205,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
