The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 Disease Management Team supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment. May apply intermediate mathematical skills.

The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 Disease Management reports to a Supervisor. The position primarily supports inbound member and provider calls.

Responsibilities Include:

  • You will be in contact with physicians for prescriptions clarification and may enter prescription orders into the system.

  • You will support Pharmacists and Patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes developed benefiting healthy outcomes.

  • You will provide education and resources for new members demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Decisions are typically focus on methods, tactics and processes for completing administrative tasks and projects.

  • You will prioritize requests by interpreting and adapting to procedures, processes and techniques.

  • You will exercise good judgement and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have an active unrestricted State Board of Pharmacy Technician in the state of Arizona, Ohio or Texas without disciplinary action.

  • Must have National Certification: PTCB (CphT) or ExCPT

  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience working in a health services or pharmacy setting.

  • Basic Proficiency using the following Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Knowledge navigating multiple systems and platforms with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve general technical difficulties in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Specialty Pharmacy experience (Oncology, Neuromuscular, Pulmonary)

  • Bilingual English and Spanish - You may be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

Workstyle: Remote work at home

Location: AZ, OH, TX

SCHEDULE : M-F 11:30 AM Eastern – 8:00 PM Eastern, overtime coverage as needed to support business.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
