Insight Global Senior Structural Engineer in Austin, Texas
Job Description
Provide specialized structural engineering support for the design and buildout of a new research chip fabrication facility
Analyze and interpret fab-specific vibration requirements and develop structural design solutions to meet those criteria
Design and evaluate foundation systems appropriate for semiconductor fabrication facility environments
Collaborate with the client's internal engineering team to bridge knowledge gaps related to fab line layouts and tool integration
Review and assess structural implications of fab tool placement, weight loads, and dynamic loading conditions
Support the development of structural documentation, calculations, and design packages in alignment with project milestones
Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure structural design integrates seamlessly with overall facility design
Participate in onsite visits to Austin, Texas during the early engagement period to support design validation and project alignment activities

Skills and Requirements
8+ years of structural engineering experience with direct involvement in chip fabrication or semiconductor facility projects
5+ years of hands-on experience designing structures that address fab-specific vibration isolation and dynamic load requirements
5+ years of foundation design experience in the context of cleanroom or fab facility environments
Strong knowledge of semiconductor fab tool loading conditions, fab line configurations, and their structural implications
Professional Engineer (PE) license required (stamping not required for this role, but licensure is expected of any qualified candidate)
3+ years of experience working in a support or consulting capacity alongside internal client engineering teams on complex facility projects
Demonstrated ability to travel to project sites as needed, including approximately three weeks of travel to Austin, Texas within the first two months of engagement
