Amazon Senior Manager, New Product Introductions, AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain in Austin, Texas

Description

Amazon Web Services’ Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement team is looking for an experienced professional to help build the world’s premier cloud platform. We are seeking an innovative, pragmatic, and inspiring individual with proven supply chain expertise to lead and manage our New Product Introduction Compute and AI/ML supply chain product management team. In this role, you'll lead a team of supply chain product managers responsible for enabling our supply chain across the dozens of new hardware products that we launch each year, partnering with engineering, finance, legal, operations, and product management teams across AWS. You'll be responsible for both the supply chain strategy in support of our roadmap of new products and the execution of supply chain readiness throughout the new product introduction phase, from concept to launch. We support all AWS data centers and all of the compute, storage, and AI/ML servers that enable our customers to have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to join us!

Key job responsibilities

• Lead a team of supply chain product managers located across multiple AWS campuses.

• Deliver supply chain readiness and execute strategic plans that improve the availability, quality, and resiliency of our hardware supply chain and that align to the overall organizational and customer vision.

• Develop and improve mechanisms to optimize across the planing and execution phases of our new product launch processes.

• Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple requirements and responsibilities simultaneously, and to concisely and clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

• You will be interacting with senior AWS leaders on a regular basis, and will be synthesizing complex program information into actionable strategies to drive alignment across engineering, supply chain, and procurement teams.

• You own the supply chain strategy across our NPI roadmap, and are responsible for material readiness during prototype and qualification, and developing a plan to scale production for launch and scale.

A day in the life

No two days are the same in the life of the New Product Introduction Compute and AI/ML supply chain product management team. On a daily basis, we may interact with external suppliers to secure part availability, align with internal engineering teams on our project plans, and influence the product roadmap with our AWS Service product managers, among other activities. We are constantly inspecting our existing mechanisms, working to automate our work wherever possible, and always pushing for faster time to market, improved supply supportability, and greater resiliency, and having fun in the process!
