Amazon Senior Business Development Manager, Amazon B2B Payments & Lending in Austin, Texas
Description
Amazon B2B Payments & Lending (ABPL) is focused on building the most innovative Business-to-Business (B2B) buying, purchasing and management destination in the world. We seek a business development leader to grow our global portfolio of business payment products (e.g., credit cards, installment loans, flexible payment solutions).
The ideal candidate will leverage their commercial acumen and partnership experience to hone our expansion strategy, develop commercial models, and negotiate with current and prospective partners. This leader will work with Product leaders to work backwards from customer needs, and with external partners to deliver the products to meet those needs.
Key job responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, negotiate and manage external partnerships that support Payments objectives for business customers in multiple countries
Negotiate with external partners, to align incentives toward the best possible B2B payment experiences for customers
Work closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Analytics teams to develop innovative partnership models and accelerate expansion
Build internal support for new initiatives with keen focus on market opportunity, business potential, and overall strategic fit
Ensure a high bar for customer experience and commercial value, balancing high-judgment trade-offs
Drive mechanisms to optimize the team’s efficiency, alignment and ability to scale rapidly
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
7+ years of combined military or professional experience
5+ years of commercial/P&L-focused experience, through analysis, P&L ownership, or negotiation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions
Financial services or fintech experience
Experience assessing customer needs and commercial models in multiple countries
Passion for big challenges and a sense of humor

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
