UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Network Analyst in Austin, Texas
Under supervision, plan, design and conduct wireless surveys and designs as well as operate and maintain wireless network components and configurations in support of all UT Austin student, faculty, staff and affiliates.Under supervision, maintain network asset information, equipment sparing process, and lab organization.Under supervision provide semi-skilled field support to install, troubleshoot, and maintain the universitys network and voice systems to provide requested improvements for campus units.Provide basic support for standard network design, troubleshooting, and after-hours event support. Driving university owned vehicles to job sites will be required for this position. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy UTS157.Maintain relationships with ET and unit representatives to address immediate needs, troubleshoot network and telecom systems, and maintain university inventory items.Provide feedback and identify problems with organizational evaluation of new network technologies, proof of concept projects, and configuration automation.Raise visibility of issues to network engineers of issues with automation processes, fault detection, standardized operations, and life cycle management.Perform other related functions as assigned.
