Job Description

Insight Global is looking for Material Handlers to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.

The Warehouse Material Handler supports semiconductor manufacturing operations by managing, staging, and delivering materials, components, and equipment in a fast-paced, highly controlled environment. This role is critical to maintaining uninterrupted production by ensuring accurate inventory control, material traceability, and strict adherence to safety, quality, and cleanroom standards.

Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, label, and store raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and semiconductor components in accordance with inventory and quality procedures.

Accurately pick, stage, and deliver materials to manufacturing, cleanroom, and equipment support areas based on production schedules.

Perform inventory transactions using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), including receiving, issuing, cycle counting, and reconciliation.

Maintain material traceability and documentation to meet semiconductor manufacturing, quality, and compliance requirements.

Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and lift devices (certification may be required).

Support cleanroom material handling protocols, including gowning procedures and contamination control standards.

Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate shortages, discrepancies, or potential delays to warehouse leadership and production teams.

Follow EHS, 5S, and lean manufacturing practices to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.

Assist with audits, cycle counts, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate closely with production, engineering, facilities, and equipment teams to support fab operations.

Skills and Requirements

3-5 + years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role (semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech environment preferred).

Experience working with inventory systems and basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, ERP systems).

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform repetitive material handling tasks.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.

Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions in a regulated environment.

High school diploma or GED required.
