BAE Systems Manufacturing Floor Support Engineer in Austin, Texas
Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Floor Support Engineer for 2nd shift. In this position, you will be supporting New Product Introduction and Legacy production builds in Austin, Texas. This position will report onsite in support of production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will spend most of their time, up to 90%, on the shop floor resolving manufacturing-related issues and providing technical support on a variety of technical tasks supporting circuit card assembly and small to large form factor assembly operations/builds.
This is a 4/10 (Mon-Thurs) work schedule on 2nd shift-4pm-2am- a 10% shift differential will be added to the base.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s Degree (Engineering or Technical discipline i.e. mechanical/electrical engineering or engineering technology)
5-10 years Manufacturing engineering experience
Can work independently with minimal guidance
Capable of working with current computer applications, CAD programs, and model manipulation
Ability to solve technical problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledge and manufacturing processes
Experience working in a team environment
Experience interfacing with customer (both internal and external)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with assembly line operations and circuit card assembly operations
Hands-on floor support experience, working with shop employees
Experience in root cause/corrective action- preventive action
Knowledge of Engineering concepts, practices, drawing standards, procedures, and processes
Basic knowledge of inspection processes is a plus
Practice of lean / 6 sigma concepts as applied to manufacturing is a plus
Knowledge of machining and painting operations a plus
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762
