RWE Clean Energy, LLC Manager, Plant Controls Engineering in Austin, Texas
Lead Plant Controls design, configuration and commissioning on individual projects and provide oversight and guidance to junior engineers. Coordinate with project managers and other engineering discipline subject matter experts to ensure Plant Controls requirements are met and project timelines are achieved. Review and provide constructive input for project contracts with financial partners and equipment manufacturers. Gather technical requirements for projects based on grid codes, standards and contracts. Generate and modify project exhibits for contractors and vendors in alignment with Plant Controls Standards and strategy. Develop and oversee scope of work and technical requirements for control system vendors and integrators. Review contractor design documents and ensure design will meet operational needs of the Plant Controls system and alignment with Plant Controls standards. Lead, oversee and implement the development of technical Plant Controls Requirements including networking design, remote terminal unit configuration, plant control strategy across multiple projects. Commission substation equipment, switches and plant networks for projects. Drive and pursue interpretation and understanding of operational data of battery, solar and wind plants across wider business. Develop strategic goals of Plant Controls team and supports driving changes to standards and processes.* May work remotely within normal commuting distance of Austin, TX. Domestic travel may be required up to 20%. *
