Summary
Apple's Strategic Data Solutions team is seeking an experienced Manager of Engineering Program Management to support machine learning engineers and lead other program managers in the Retail and Online Store Fraud Space. In this role, you will help create and drive strategic roadmaps and coordinate the success of our programs. Our aim is to address fraud in Apple’s Online and Retail ecosystems without sacrificing customer experience. Given the adversarial nature of fraud, we are constantly challenged to innovate together, drawing from diverse perspectives as we design and build new solutions. You will acquire a deep understanding of fraud methods as well as our service strategies and systems so that you can support and influence that innovation.

Description
• Lead and grow a team of highly skilled program and project managers. Providing guidance, mentorship and support • Recognize, attract and develop talent • Support our operations—managing business critical metrics by partnering closely with machine learning engineers • Get into the details on analytical projects and critical metrics. Expert ability to dive deep with the team to solve complex challenges • Help machine learning engineers prioritize work in alignment with long-term roadmap vision to balance impact, cost, resourcing, timeline and risk • Build partnerships with key business and engineering leaders across multiple teams • Continually identify and drive opportunities for process improvement • Guide brainstorming and innovation • Drive intra- and cross-team projects from inception through release and monitoring • Work under limited supervision, use good judgment and know when to seek guidance
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any analytical, quantitative or technical field (engineering, math, computer science, finance or similar), or equivalent experience
Ability to work outside own area of expertise, perform business discovery, simplify and define the problem statement, extract key information, and propose potential analytic approaches
Proven ability to drive change through positive influence of co-workers, leadership, and business partner
Ability to learn and provide in-depth evaluations of complex engineering and analytic issues
Skilled at using data to present, advocate for and prioritize among solutions
Experience motivating and empowering others to do their best work
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with engineering, data analysis, machine learning or fraud detection/response would be beneficial
The ideal candidate is inquisitive and has a desire for continued self-improvement and development of new skills
Eager to take on leadership and people management responsibilities
