The day-to-day responsibilities will involve imaging computers, deploying peripherals, manages and monitors tickets for onboarding and offboarding requests, and assisting with customer service requests. This individual will have the opportunity to train and work with multiple IT teams including the Help Desk, Desktop Configuration and Management group, Desktop Support, and Network Support groups, allowing growth and advancement opportunities based on your skillsets, work ethic, initiative and interests.Salary Range:IT Support Specialist II: $4,083.33 - $4,416.67 monthlyIT Support Specialist III: $4,666.67 - $4,682.75 monthly Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:IT Support Specialist II:and#8226; Graduated with a high school diploma or GED.and#8226; One (1) year of work experience providing desktop workstation support, print shop operations or Customer Service Support answering customer calls/questions.IT Support Specialist III:and#8226; Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associateand#8217;s Degree.and#8226; Complete copies of college transcripts must be furnished to the divisional hiring representative at the time of the interview for positions requiring a college degree, and/or specific educational creditsand#8226; Two (2) years of work experience providing customer support and/or desktop workstation support.Preferred Qualifications:and#8226; Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associateand#8217;s or higher Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems.and#8226; Provides coordination and planning for the installation, update and removal of hardware, software and equipmentand#8226; Provides assistance and support for software and hardware problems and for information sharing with Divisions and other Agencies as part of a Tier II Technical Support Teamand#8226; Determines operational, technical and support requirements for the location, installation, operation and maintenance of IT Equipment and systemsand#8226; Maintains Hardware, Software and telecom products for the agency.and#8226; Assists with Property Management of all IT assetsand#8226; Cross trains team members on hardware, software, telecom, deployment and trouble ticketing system to support agency needsand#8226; Utilizes Service Now to formulate descriptions of problems and provide detailed/workable solutions for technical solutionsand#8226; Coordinates with other IT Teams regarding status of assigned service call/tickets, and informs the team supervisor when unable to resolve a customerand#8217;s complaint or request and will escalate the issue to the appropriate team for resolutionand#8226; Researches and integrates Telecom and Desktop Hardware into existing environmentsand#8226; Trains others on hardware, software, telecom, deployment and trouble ticketing system to support agency needsand#8226; Installs and updates existing customer approved hardware and softwareand#8226; Coordinates, plans, and schedules the installation or training for new and revised hardware and software and defines the business requirementsand#8226; Assists with design, development and maintenance of computer applications including Asset Management toolsand#8226; Evaluates and recommends actions on testing and certification of software and hardware upgradesand#8226; Manages and administers desktop hardware and software including planning and coordinatingand#8226; Performs upgrade and maintenance activitiesand#8226; Analyzes and test new or existing procedures for deployment of hardware, software and applications using utility programs to effectively meet increasing technology needsand#8226; Prepares documentation, statistics, flow charts, Power Point presentations and logistics plans for network and hardware needsand#8226; Provides and review process and procedures for knowledge base, workstation images, telecom and inventory control systemand#8226; May direct and oversee the evaluation of software and hardware to support agency information technology goals and objectivesand#8226; May assist in researching budget requirements for hardware, software and telecom structure for the agencyand#8226; May evaluate and make recommendations concerning existing innovation and technology system processes and develops new procedures, standards, tools and techniquesand#8226; Evaluates and offer solutions for the tools used for telecom, including but not limited to web conferencing, VOIP, and teleconferencingand#8226;
