Quality Engineer - Aerospace Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our aerospace manufacturing team and play a hands‑on role in ensuring product quality across highly engineered systems!

In this role, you’ll work closely with manufacturing, engineering, inspection, and supplier teams to support quality processes across turbines, actuators, and power systems. You’ll gain exposure to inspection planning, process definition, supplier quality, and quality system initiatives while developing a strong foundation in aerospace quality standards. We’re looking for someone with solid engineering fundamentals, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in learning and growing in quality engineering.

What You'll Do

  • Review existing manufacturing and quality processes and support improvements aligned with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection plans and inspection processes across multiple product lines.

  • Support internal manufacturing quality activities, including inspection readiness and process adherence.

  • Assist with supplier development activities, including quality requirements, evaluations, and corrective actions.

  • Help define and document quality procedures and work instructions.

  • Partner with inspectors, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure product quality and compliance.

  • Support ongoing and future ISO 9001 and AS9100 initiatives.

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the Quality organization.

  • Contribute hands-on support related to inspections and measurement methods (CMM experience is a plus; capability may be added in the future).

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, or related field)

  • Approximately 1+ year of experience in quality engineering or a related role (Internship or post‑graduate experience is acceptable).

  • Strong interest in quality systems, inspections, and manufacturing processes

  • Comfort working onsite in a hands‑on manufacturing environment

  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, positive attitude

  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of work

Additional Skills That Set You Apart

  • Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality standards.

  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) concepts.

  • Exposure to inspection planning, process audits, or supplier quality activities.

  • Experience with dimensional inspection tools or CMM systems (not required).

Work Environment

  • Onsite role working Monday through Thursday, four 10‑hour days

  • Fridays off, supporting a healthy work‑life balance

  • Fast‑paced aerospace manufacturing environment with close cross‑functional collaboration

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67/hr.
