UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Enterprise Network Engineer III in Austin, Texas
Design, deploy, and operate network infrastructure to implement macro and micro segmentation and layer 3 through layer 7 network controls to implement network and security profiles for users and devices on the UT network.Establish and maintain good working relationships with ET and unit representatives to anticipate network and telecom security and isolation needs to create solutions for UT-Austin.Lead collaboration with extended network team to anticipate technological changes and automate infrastructure deployment, fault detection, standardized operations, and life cycle management. Provide escalation support for complex network designs, troubleshooting, and after-hours on-call support.Evaluate new network technologies, conduct proof of concept implementations, create run book definitions, and lead pilot deployments.Perform other related functions as assigned.
