UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Director of Human Resources, Business and Technology, Moody College of Communication in Austin, Texas
Responsible for the transactional and strategic day-to-day operations of Human Resources at the Moody College of Communication. Maintain Workday functionality while establishing and communicating best practices to Moody HR collaborators and holding various Workday roles.Advise supervisors on employee experience, including performance expectations, coaching, employee development and learning, performance evaluations, and employee relations. Provide consultation to staff and supervisors on recruiting, hiring processes, job descriptions, compensation, reclassifications, additional duties, and employee relations issues. Guide requests for employee accommodation and work authorizations for international faculty and staff in partnership with the appropriate offices. Provide leadership to the human resources team by extending guidance and advice that aligns with the strategic objectives of the college and executive leadership. Identify opportunities for team enhancement and skill acquisition offering partnership on organizational and employee-related strategies.Ensure compliance and consistency across units with all policies, procedures, regulatory agencies, and laws. Work with executive leadership, senior staff, and unit staff to implement and communicate administrative policies and procedures and standards across the division. Develop, organize, and continually revamp HR processes to ensure ease and efficiency. Ensure confidentiality of various employee documents and files.Provide workforce analysis, forecasting, planning, and budgeting, including conducting salary benchmarking surveys for the College. Ensure compensation for staffing changes is consistent, competitive and within budget. Make recommendations regarding the Universitys compensation pay plan to Human Resource Services. Ensure operational effectiveness by implementing new business practices in accordance with the academic and fiscal business cycles. Manage the Colleges annual salary recommendation process.Participate in Moody College and University committees. Serve as liaison between the Moody College and the Provost Office, campus Human Resources, Payroll, and other related offices for all human resource functions.Other duties as assigned.
