UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Director of Clinical Finance in Austin, Texas
Serve as a key leader and liaison for the Office of Finance leadership (Senior Director and CFO) in working with Clinical Departments to create and execute a financial plan to support the strategic growth of clinical services. Act as a partner with Clinical Departments, providing thought leadership and analysis for ongoing business initiatives (go/no-go decisions, scenario analysis, project after-action reviews, etc.).Develop, maintain, and deliver financial reporting to Clinical leadership teams, driving continuous improvement in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Oversee the management of the clinical pillar budget plan, including developing, monitoring, analyzing forecasting and reporting. Recommend and develop strategies for general cost containment, strategic investments, and growth management. Develop metrics and analytics to monitor and assess performance to budget in volumes, revenues, and expenses. Create and lead a monthly financial review for each department. Develop rolling multi-year program-level forecasts, supporting clinical prioritization.Partner with clinical department leadership to develop clinical productivity metrics and implement regular dashboards/tracking systems. Represent the Director of Finance regarding clinical financial matters on various institutional committees and ad hoc groups. Represent Finance to other operational components, UT System, outside agencies, and on intra- and inter-unit committees as needed.Collaborate with Finance leadership to ensure business continuity plans are maintained, documented, and routinely tested. Work closely with the Finance leadership team on the recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of finance staff supporting clinical finance. Work with Finance senior leadership to define, plan, and implement professional development of staff. Work closely with the Finance leadership to evaluate staffing levels and develop projections to meet operational needs.
