This includes recruiting and hiring staff; on-boarding new hires; coordinating benefits; training and developing the workforce on HR topics; creating and implementing employee engagement initiatives; and facilitating separation. Human Resourcesand#8217; professionals are consultants and business partners; they advise managers and employees on workforce issues and help the agency achieve its business goals.General Description:Join Human Resources as a Human Resources Business Partner! Will perform Human Resources management work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Work involves providing coaching and guidance to managers related to employee performance and development. Successfully guides internal employees and management through the interactive process related to requests/needs for workplace accommodations. Gathers information, records, and data related to requests for accommodations, discipline, terminations, complaints, allegations of mistreatment, and policy violations. Communicates and partners with Workplace Investigator as identified. Ensures compliance with agency policy, state and federal laws and regulations relative to equal employment opportunity, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and other relevant laws. Writes, proofs, edits, and develops various reports, articles, timelines, and summaries related to Employee Relations matters. Serves as the agencyand#8217;s Workplace Accommodations Coordinator, Employee Assistance Liaison (EAP), and Workersand#8217; Compensation Claims Coordinator. Backups and supports the FMLA/Special Leave Coordinator and Investigator. Trains agency management and staff on employee relations-related topics as needed. Work requires exceptional working relationships with all levels of agency management and staff.Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week with occasional evening, weekend hours and holidays. Hours may change based on business need.This position may be eligible for a flexible/hybrid work schedule of 3 in office days and 2 remote workdays once certain conditions are met. Work schedules may change at any time as business necessitates. Qualifications: Minimum Qualificationsand#183; Bachelorand#8217;s degree.and#183; 3 years of experience supporting employees and/or management in a human resources environment, performing complex employee relations matters.and#183; Experience in reviewing, leading, advising on, and resolving sensitive employee concerns and investigations.and#183; Experience with case management of FMLA, Workersand#8217; compensation, special leave, and processing employee benefits.and#183; Experience handling sensitive cases: disciplinary actions, terminations, policy violations.and#183; Experience partnering with investigators, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring due process.and#183; Experience ensuring compliance and interpreting HR policies in complex cases.Preferred Qualificationsand#183; Bachelorand#8217;s degree in human resources management, business, psychology, public administration, or another related field.and#183; Experience with Employment and HR-related laws, including Title VII.and#183; Experience in Project Management methodologies.and#183; Experience in designing and conducting employee relations training for managers and leaders.Substitutionsand#183; One (1) additional year of experience performing complex human resources functions involving employee relations, employee dispute resolution and/or performance management may substitute for thirty semester hours of educational requirement with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (four years).Licenses and Certificationsand#183; Preferred Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.In this role you will:Serves as the ADA-Workplace Accommodations Coordinator.and#183; Maintains current knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, and best practices related to disability rights and workplace accommodations.and#183; Advises and consults with management and employees on accommodations; partners with Legal Counsel to support resolution of complex issues.and#183; Meets with employees to discuss accommodation requests; reviews documentation and communicates determinations to relevant stakeholders.and#183; Assists in developing and implementing internal measures and reports related to ADA compliance.and#183; Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for ADA and reasonable accommodation processes.and#183; Maintains organized and complete records of all disability and accommodation requests and/or issues; completes timelines, summaries, and other related requests for complaints, terminations, and EEOC charges to Workplace Investigator, management, and/or Legal team.and#183; Develop, prepare, and facilitate engaging and interactive training related to the ADA and workplace accommodation process to internal management as required and/or requested.and#183; Review, analyze, and evaluate internal policies, procedures, and practices to identify the existence of discriminatory factors affecting persons with disabilities in the workforce.and#183; Refer complaints lodged to the Workplace Investigator and management when allegations of discrimination and non-compliance under the ADA and other applicable federal and state laws regarding discrimination based on disability are identified.
