Job Description
The Business Development – ATE Technologist role is a strategic leadership position that partners closely with sales, application engineering, and product development teams to expand Advantest’s automated test equipment (ATE) footprint across advanced semiconductor devices and key customer accounts.
By engaging deeply with customers on their device architectures and test challenges, this role serves as a trusted technical advisor—shaping test strategies, influencing ATE selection, and driving new ATE design wins that support long-term business growth. Success is measured by the ability to translate customer requirements into differentiated Advantest ATE solutions that win sockets and scale across platforms and programs.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze customer device architectures and test requirements across advanced digital semiconductor products
• Develop a deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and test flows, from device design through production test
• Perform gap analysis between customer requirements and existing Advantest ATE capabilities
• Architect end-to-end ATE test solutions and support the technical sale of those solutions
• Partner with sales and applications teams to drive design wins at strategic customer accounts
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior technical and business leaders at both Advantest and customer organizations
• Develop technical presentations, collateral, and whitepapers to communicate Advantest’s ATE value proposition
• Analyze market trends, device roadmaps, and evolving test requirements to inform strategy
• Translate top-down sales objectives into actionable device targets and test opportunities, working cross-functionally to execute

Skills and Requirements
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent
• 5+ years of technical competency in digital semiconductor testing on any ATE platform
• Strong understanding of ATE architectures, test methodologies, and production test challenges
• Proven ability to work in customer-facing, cross-functional environments
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Solid understanding of the semiconductor lifecycle, including the assembly and test value chain
