External Faculty Awards and Honorific Coordinate campus-wide efforts to increase representation of University of Texas faculty as recipients of prestigious external awards and members of national academies. Liaise with college/school leadership across campus (e.g., Deans, Associate Deans, Department Chairs) and the Office of the Vice President for Research to curate a dynamic, discipline-specific list of highly prestigious external faculty awards and honorifics. Assist nomination committees with identifying meritorious faculty, including use of Academic Analytics and other data systems. Develop competitive intelligence to identify and document characteristics of compelling candidates and nominations for prestigious awards. Build a network of current UT recipients of prestigious awards to build mentoring connections between award recipients and nominees. Assist nominees with assembling nominations, coordinate solicitation of external nomination letters, and coordinate with OVPR Research Development when limited submission competitions are necessary. Track submissions and success rates to yield a comprehensive picture of total UT Austin nominations and recipients. Collaborate with the EVPP Communications team to highlight faculty award successes.Faculty Teaching Awards Manage full life cycle of Faculty Teaching Awards administered by the Provosts Office. Coordinate campus-wide nomination process, manage nomination systems, facilitate review process and communications with review committees, draft and send award notifications, maintain Faculty Teaching Awards website to support visibility and accessibility, and coordinate processing of faculty award payments. Serve as the primary liaison for communicating nomination requirements and deadlines to CSUs and faculty across campus. Collaborate with the EVPP Communications team to highlight faculty award successes.Promotion and Tenure Program Support Coordinate promotion dossier review process for the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. Serve as a point of contact with staff and administrators in colleges/schools to field questions and provide ongoing guidance on promotion and tenure policies and processes. Maintain internal systems and records related to the promotion and tenure process.Reporting and General Program Support Coordinate reporting efforts for faculty awards and promotion and tenure outcomes. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and central offices with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality, ensuring compliance and oversight with all governing policies. Document workflows and processes for all assigned tasks and support records retention and documentation needs of the unit. This position may be required to supervise administrative staff in the future.Other duties as assigned
