Amazon Annual Planning Lead, ASP , ASP Planning & Business Operations in Austin, Texas

AWS is seeking an Annual Planning Lead to drive operational excellence for the AWS Specialists and Partners (ASP) organization. This role leads mission-critical annual planning mechanisms including segmentation, territory design, goal setting and cascades, operational planning cycles (OP1/OP2), and resource planning. The Annual Planning Lead translates complex business needs into scalable annual planning mechanisms that support business in a rapidly growing environment.

The Annual Planning Lead develops and implements planning processes, systems, and metrics that increase revenue growth and organizational effectiveness. This role analyzes planning data to identify improvement opportunities and provides forward-looking recommendations to leadership. The position requires managing day-to-day operations through planning process management, performance analysis, technology support, business reviews, and clear communication of insights while building strong stakeholder relationships. This position requires a strategic thinker who balances operational rigor with consultative partnership, translating data into business strategy while building trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.

This role leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance planning processes and decision-making. The Annual Planning Lead works with ASP leadership and cross-functional teams to implement and optimize AI-driven tools and workflows that improve planning productivity and effectiveness.

Key job responsibilities

  • Leads annual planning activities which may include segmentation, territory design, and goal/quota setting to support ASP organizational effectiveness and strategic alignment.

  • Orchestrates operational planning cycles (OP1/OP2) including timeline management, stakeholder coordination, and deliverable production to ensure timely completion of planning milestones.

  • Develops and implements standardized planning processes, metrics, and KPI definitions while maintaining data quality to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting across annual planning mechanisms.

  • Orchestrates AI-human collaboration in planning processes, manages and optimizes AI planning intelligence tools, and implements automated workflow systems to streamline processes and improve organizational efficiency.

  • Conducts planning performance analysis on goal attainment, resource utilization, and process efficiency to identify potential risks and optimization opportunities, and prepares regular business reviews with insights on planning health and operational effectiveness.

  • Leads cross-functional projects to improve planning efficiency and processes, partnering with sales operations, central planning, and data teams while serving as primary point of contact to resolve stakeholder planning requests.

  • Drives planning tools training and adoption initiatives to improve utilization and productivity, and leads escalations and planning issues to resolution.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 7+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

  • Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

  • Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

  • Experience using data and analytics to drive sales strategy and results

  • Experience with planning systems such as Anaplan, Varicent, Salesforce Territory Management, or other enterprise planning platforms

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
