Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Austin, Texas
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a growing finance team in Austin, Texas. This Long-term Contract position focuses on high-volume invoice processing, vendor account balancing, and maintaining accurate payable records in a remote work environment. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, sound judgment in account coding, and confidence working with Bill.com and NetSuite.
Responsibilities:
• Process and enter vendor invoices accurately in Bill.com while ensuring timely completion and proper documentation.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements and account balances, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Apply correct general ledger coding to invoices in alignment with company accounting practices.
• Support payment operations by preparing ACH transactions and assisting with check run activities.
• Maintain positive communication with vendors to address payment questions and resolve account issues efficiently.
• Transfer and validate accounts payable data between Bill.com environments while preserving record accuracy and completeness.
• Partner with internal finance stakeholders to keep payable records current, organized, and audit-ready. Requirements • Hands-on experience in accounts payable with a strong understanding of invoice processing and vendor reconciliation.
• Proficiency using Bill.com for invoice entry, payment support, and account management tasks.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite and familiarity with accounts payable workflows in an ERP environment.
• Ability to code invoices accurately and manage a high volume of transactions with close attention to detail.
• Experience supporting ACH payments and check runs in a controlled financial setting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to manage vendor relationships professionally and effectively.
• Exposure to environments involving acquisitions or business combinations is helpful.
