STAFF SYSTEMS ENGINEER / SYSTEMS ENGINEER (AUSTIN, MN)
This role will report to Jeremy Tebay, Infrastructure Team Lead.
SUMMARY:
This position works on the IT Communications team with a focus on firewalls and other security software solutions used in our production warehouse and manufacturing facilities at an enterprise scale. The role requires providing support to remote sites as well as project-based deployments, discovering new technologies, improving existing technologies, and keeping our networks and data systems secure. This role will require occasional evenings and weekends to provide support or implement systems during outage windows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Architect, implement, and manage enterprise network security environment(s) and services used throughout the company; in subsidiaries, production and warehouse locations
Administer and maintain business critical enterprise network security environment(s) and services used throughout the company in subsidiaries, production plants, and warehouse locations
Provide firewall / security Level 3 support issue/problem resolution of business critical infrastructure environment(s) and services
Provide project management of medium and large network security related projects across the enterprise
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
An appropriate bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or related field or 5 – 7 years of experience engineering, deploying, and supporting enterprise network communications systems
A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Security or a related field
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and strong troubleshooting experience, including networking and TCP/IP Concepts
Advanced technical experience in security architecture and firewall administration
A pattern of initiative and technical innovation, proven problem solving, decision making and project management skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent organizational, time management skills, well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on nights, weekends, holidays for 3rd level support and/or system upgrades in support of Plant downtime availability windows
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States

Preferred
Technical experience with remote access solutions
Technical experience in web content filtering
Technical experience in cloud security

The base hiring pay range for this role is listed in the posting, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
