What You Will Be Doing:

As the Operational Excellence Specialist for Rental, you will lead key initiatives supporting the performance improvement of the branch's rental operations, customer experience, and revenue growth of the Yancey Rental Services group.

  • Develop Rental growth strategies and customer experience plans

  • Design and implement customer relationship improvements (projects/programs)

  • Lead operational efficiency projects targeting the training, growth and system enhancements for Yancey Rents

  • Provide SME knowledge of business products and value propositions of the Yancey Rents division

  • Write business proposals and prepare project plans supporting the Rental Services group program enhancements

  • Build relationships and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders of Programs

  • Identify, map, leverage business strengths and customer needs to support program development

You will also be responsible for developing and deploying daily, weekly, and monthly management reporting packages to support the local branches to improve operational performance. The role includes active engagement with CAT for business initiatives, i.e. Rental Excellence Program and Dealer Advisory Board meetings. This position also interacts with various Allied OEM’s as well as associated supply vendors for showroom product offerings and enhancements. This position is also responsible for promoting a safe workplace and developing a “Safety First” culture.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in required safety programs and ensure that all employees complete safety training and work in a safe manner.

  • Responsible for the identification, development and implementation plan of Branch performance improvement initiatives.

  • Act as a liaison for CAT and other OEM representatives to lead negotiations, identify risks, and recommend recommendations while exercising judgment on acceptable terms.

  • Support and train employees on Standard Operating Procedures and ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed.

  • Develop project plans supporting key initiatives in the Rental Services division.

  • For Floor Merchandise, monitor inventory levels to assure customer needs can be met on a timely basis.

  • Lead required training supporting key initiatives.

  • Become proficient in change management.

  • Support and communicate regularly with the Sales Teams for system support needs.

  • Refine monthly Rental Services reporting tools with the goals of ease of use and transparency.

  • Develop monitoring of key initiative performance post implementation.

  • Become a “champion” of a process improvement culture.

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

    Who We Are Looking For:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience required.

  • Specific industry, project manager or supply chain systems training desired.

  • Must have 1 – 3 years industry experience.

    Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Possess the necessary problem-solving skills to meet the needs of our customers and employees.

  • Excellent people skills with customer service experience.

  • Customer Service management experience.

  • Must have a valid class C Georgia driver’s license.

  • Must have a qualified driving record and physical.

    Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Spanish language preferable but not required.
