Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Equipment Support
Troubleshoot and maintain automated systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, actuators, servos, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Repair or replace electrical system components such as switches, controls, fuses, and lighting equipment to ensure system reliability.
Repair or replace mechanical systems and components including drives, bearings, belts, and fixturing.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues in production equipment and facility power systems.
Perform routine inspections and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Maintain clear, accurate records of maintenance activities using InforEAM or similar tools.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend timely repairs or replacements.
Assist in programming or modifying control systems to improve efficiency.
Support integration of new automation technologies into existing processes.
Collaboration & Project Work
Partner with engineering, production, and EHS teams during equipment upgrades, relocations, and lifecycle activities.
Support Engineering and Manufacturing through equipment specification, commissioning, implementation, and sustaining.
Participate in continuous improvement activities such as DMS/Kaizen.
Collaborate with AME/MFG Engineering on equipment platforming and spare‑parts optimization.
Contribute to general and specialized maintenance, safety initiatives, training sessions, and employee involvement teams.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with applicable regulations.
Support EHS goals through responsible equipment care, documentation, and safe work practices.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in industrial electrical, automation systems engineering, electrical/computer engineering, or a technical certification
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing automation or equipment/robotic programming environment.
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, mechanical components, and automation controls.
Experience troubleshooting electrical control circuits, including AC/DC and facility equipment wiring.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, ladder logic, and P&IDs.
Working knowledge of safety practices including LOTO.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Allen‑Bradley and Fanuc robotics programming software and maintenance documentation practices.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Basic welding, fabrication, or machining skills.
Knowledge of industrial safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
Strong troubleshooting and creative problem‑solving abilities.
