Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Set Up Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of industrial and fabrication equipment, performing die changeovers, and ensuring inventory accuracy. You will communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, report any equipment issues, material shortages, or safety concerns promptly, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate industrial and fabrication equipment.
Perform die changeovers as required for production.
Ensure inventory accuracy and monitor raw material usage.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Report promptly on equipment issues, material shortages, or safety concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience with CNC machines, machine setup, and troubleshooting.
Previous experience running the Cincinnati machine.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency; experience with an ERP system preferred.
Self-motivated team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to read engineering blueprints and bills of material.
Proficient in using hand tools, micrometers, and calipers.
Skilled in operating fabrication and industrial equipment; strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to maintain production efficiency and quality standards.
Physically able to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to distinguish colors when required.
Adheres to all safety standards and wears PPE properly as required.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.76 - $25.76/hr.
