Job Overview

The Manager of Human Resources at Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation (Foundation) is responsible for managing the daily workflows and general navigation of the Foundation's Human Resource systems and processes with all Foundation team members. This role will also lead the functional management of process and systems as related to position recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and general record management. The manager will create and share system reports related to people management, position management, learning/professional development, team member engagement and support analysis for other HR people data reports. This manager will also be a key partner in the employee engagement and culture initiatives produced from the Employee Relations department. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Employee Relations in the Foundation.

Job Status: Full time, 40 hours per week

Shift: Monday to Friday (exempt) occasional after hours, as scheduled. Requires 50% or more in person/in-office.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage the daily workflows and general navigation of the Foundation's Human Resource Systems and Processes with all Foundation team members

*Primary contact and responder for main Foundation HR email for questions, support requests, and general information

*Responsible for the management and coordination of HR information systems (e.g., BambooHR) application and practice ensuring data accuracy and employee record compliance

*Liaison role between team member and HR systems and processes to troubleshoot and identify solutions

*Partner with Sr. Director of Employee Relations in Foundation to create and collaborate on joint system solutions with key hospital HR partners in alignment with Foundation team members and leaders that support overall priorities

*Create, manage and run quality reports for employee data and partner with Sr. Director of Employee Relations to share out on a regular cadence

*Collaborate across Foundation departments and workgroups to understand and share processes as aligned and related to shared scopes of HR functions

*Receive employee data reports from hospital partners and create tracking and accountability reports to share outcomes and information on a regular cadence (i.e., quarterly and monthly employee data, badge access, etc.)

*Support the Sr. Director and team members in navigation of Foundation and Hospital policies and practices as needed

*Manage the monthly content and communications and updates from the "Harmony" Foundation HR email - partner with Marketing colleagues as needed

Lead the HR functional steps for recruitment for onboarding and offboarding processes

*Partner with hiring managers to understand and gather information pertaining to their recruitment needs

*Lead the systematic and internal process for pre-during-post recruitment steps with hiring managers

*Train hiring managers including creation and management of guidelines and tools that support the Foundation's recruitment process

*Manage checklists, process, and timelines associated with staffing needs and aligned to best practices of accountability to applicants

*Pre-screen/call applicants, track and support all resume submissions, ensure consistency with interview guides, and documentation management during the entire recruitment process

*Work in partnership with Foundation hiring managers and Children's Hospital Colorado partners in Talent Acquisition for posting jobs internally and externally (including websites and Foundation wide announcements)

*Ensure quality control of recruitment processes and own a timely response and engagement effort with candidates and hiring managers

*Create, update, an deliver Foundation HR onboarding materials and training for new hires in partnership with Sr. Director of Employee Relations

*Track recruitment metrics related to people experience and time to hire, and proactively suggest process improvement ideas with Sr. Director of Employee Relations

Track and monitor Professional Development and Foundation Trainings

*Partner with Accounts Payable to track budget line expenses related to Professional Development approvals, uses, and general people learning activities

*Connect with team members/leaders to understand and track professional development approval uses and changes

*Create and report on trends for internal/external uses, including activity and spending on a quarterly basis

*Create and manage a process for sharing professional learnings across the Foundation from team members who participate in external conferences, webinars, etc.

*In partnership with Sr. Director of Employee Relations partner to track and develop reports on return on investment (ROI) to share out across Foundation departments

Employee Engagement and Culture

*Create and track employee recognition programs using systems (e.g., BambooHR, A Mile Above, etc.) to elevate value and purpose of tools

*Lead and send the quarterly team member surveys (BambooHR) and collaborate with the Sr. Director on themes and feedback to share out

*Participate and facilitate with the Engagement Exchange team member group in facilitating activities and tracking for accountability under HR budget

*Contribute ideas and plan for internal and external social gatherings across the Foundation

*Track and share accountability reports for the budget in Employee Relations for engagement activity expenses (fresh fruit, catering, snacks, etc.)

General HR Duties and Support Coverage

*Assist Sr. Director as needed for HR projects and increased volume periods of the year, including, but not limited to:

o Annual Performance Management Cycle (documents and process flow)

o Experience survey data analysis (data and spreadsheets)

o All Staff Business Meetings (planning and execution)

o Annual Program Planning Cycle (forms, requests, and data collection)

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees

Undergraduate BA/BS degree required.

Area of Study

Business, Communications, or Human Resources.

Experience

At least four to six years of direct experience working under a Human Resource department or leader with direct experience working in an HR Management system and with employee/personnel data and confidential document management. The Manager of HR must also have or demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • MS Office programs and tools; proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Work and create Adobe Acrobat documents including write and edit

  • Strong interpersonal and confidentiality acumen; ability to discern and apply judgement to sensitive information

  • General understanding of HR procedures in practice for supporting a diverse body of team members and leaders

  • Front-facing and presentation/facilitation skills to successfully navigate conversations, trainings, and communications as related to HR

  • Familiar with general document management protocols for personnel record storage and maintenance

  • Proficient communication skills to create, edit, and share information using email, Teams, and document guidelines

Equivalency

May meet equivalency of four additional years of direct experience working in a people facing, document management, HR driven job with high functioning administrative skills, for a total of eight years of experience, if no degree.

Salary Information

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $70,200.00 to $95,500.00
