Join Our Care Team
We are seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team. Nurses are assigned to a specific care area, which may include memory care, long-term care, or skilled nursing, depending on the position.
Position Summary
The Charge Nurse (RN/LPN) is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of the assigned care area and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. This role provides leadership and support to nursing staff, coordinates care activities, and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team. The Charge Nurse ensures compliance with all regulatory standards while promoting a safe, compassionate, and efficient care environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans, policies, and best practices
Supervise and support CNAs and other nursing staff on assigned shift
Coordinate and delegate assignments to ensure appropriate staffing and workload distribution
Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Communicate effectively with providers, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of care and services provided
Promote a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols
Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions
Address concerns, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
Support compliance with state and federal regulations and organizational policies
Serve as a role model and resource to staff, fostering a positive team environment
Requirements
Current, active RN or LPN license in the State of Maine
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisors
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in spoken and written English
Basic computer skills
Shifts Available:
2nd shift, 3:00pm to 11:00pm (alternating bi-weekly 32/40 schedule)
3rd shift, 11:00pm to 7:00am, (alternating bi-weekly 32/40 schedule)
